In 2019-2020, Texas A&M University School of Law welcomed its inaugural class of online M.Jur. students. Although these students can choose from a variety of specializations, their core curriculum requires a one-credit dispute resolution course – just as is true for Texas A&M’s J.D. students. In 2020, Professor Welsh taught Dispute Resolution, introducing the M.Jur. students to negotiation, mediation, arbitration, new forms of ADR – and also the basics of civil procedure in the federal courts. In 2021, M.Jur. students will be able to choose between this course and one taught by Professor Peter Reilly with a more transactional focus - ADR: Doing Deals and Resolving Disputes Through Negotiation, Mediation, and Arbitration.
